アメリカ先住民族・魂との出会い

アメリカという、経済そして軍事的にも世界の頂点となったアグレッシブな複合民族国家の中にあって、数千年の永き時を超え、伝統文化を継承してきた彼等アメリカ先住民族が、確実に激減し消えようとしている。
アメリカの人口２億といわれている中でたった２００万人。１パーセントになってしまった彼等。古代より自然を敬愛し、動物達を友とし、戦いや戦闘を好まず何事も対話により融和の道を選んできた彼等の偉大な文化や習慣が、いま確実に消えようとしている。これも時代という強大な力の中にあってどうしようもないことなのだろうか。

ふとした偶然から与えられた彼等との心と心の出会い、“魂との出会い”を追い求め、自然体のまま彼等の日常や人物像を撮り残すため、アポイントを取らず、思いのままに出かけ、何か引き合うように彼等の魂と出会った瞬間の数々。
いま、レンズを透して取り残しておきたいと純粋に思う

Encountering with spirits

From ancient time, they have respected nature, made friends with animals, avoided fights and chosen the way of maintaining harmonious relations with neighbors. Now this great culture, customs and practices are going to disappear.
In America, compounded nation-state, also has become the giant of economy and military affairs, the population of Native American Indians are sharply decreasing. Also the traditional culture they were succeeding beyond centuries is fading.
There are 2 million Native American, which is only 1% of Americans population.

With an accident, brought me the meeting with them heart to heart. In order to take photographs how they are in everyday life,
I did not make any appointment but, went out as I wanted, collecting the moments to encounter their spirits by something invisible. I want to pass on their spirits through my lens.
